Our story

A women-led weaving project built on dignity, skill and community.

Founded on July 4, 1977 under the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, PCEA Nanyuki Spinners and Weavers has trained and supported women through spinning, knitting and weaving for decades.

What started as a practical support initiative for widowed, single and economically vulnerable women has grown into a respected artisan collective that creates handwoven goods while preserving cultural knowledge.
